Cheshire LTA are delighted to be working with Donna Harris, Primary Science Consultant to deliver this practical, face to face half day course designed to support primary science subject leaders.
About Donna
Donna is an experienced primary science consultant providing support to trainee teachers, early career teachers, experienced classroom teachers and science leaders across England. She has a proven track record in developing the role of subject leaders. Donna is an accredited STEM Learning Senior Professional Development Leader and has previously worked with the Standards & Testing Agency as part of their KS2 Science Teacher Panel and the BBC.
Course Overview:
This course is designed to support primary science subject leaders in developing a clear understanding of their role and feel confident to lead science with strategic intent and measurable impact. Through collaborative discussion, reflection, and hands-on activities, participants will explore the key elements of effective science subject leadership.

By the end of this course, participants will:
• Understand the key responsibilities of a primary science subject leader.
• Explore a range of techniques to identify what science is like in your school and effectively plan next steps to drive improvement in science.
