Mathematics
Every Child Counts mathematics intervention programmes meet the needs of targeted groups of pupils. All come with extensive, attractive ready–to–use resources, written guidance manuals and the highest quality face-to-face training.
Teachers and teaching assistants can start teaching straight after their first training day and then the training runs parallel with their teaching in their training term.
1stClass@Number
An innovative small group intervention delivered by a specially trained teaching assistant to children who need further support with the Year 1 or Year 2 mathematics curriculum.
Two programmes are available to schools.
1stClass@Number 1: for pupils who need further support at the Year 1 NC expectations.
1stClass@Number 2: for pupils who need further support at the Year 2 NC expectations
Success@Arithmetic
Is a small-group intervention delivered by a teacher and teaching assistant in partnership to pupils in Key Stages 2 and 3 who need support with written arithmetic.
Two programmes are available to schools.
Success@Arithmetic; Number Sense. For pupils in Years 3 to 5 who need support to understand the number system and develop fluency with number facts
Success@Arithmetic; Calculation. For pupils in Years 5 to 8 who need support to understand and develop fluency with formal written methods.
