Senior Leaders of Education (SLE)
Specialist Leaders of Education (SLE) are outstanding middle and senior leaders who have the skills to support individuals or teams in similar positions in other schools.
They understand what outstanding leadership practice in their area of expertise looks like and are skilled in helping other leaders to achieve it in their own context. Each one has undergone a rigorous selection process and training by The National College for Teaching and Leadership.
SLE’s will develop the leadership capacity of individuals and teams in other schools, using coaching or facilitation support that draws on their knowledge and expertise in their specialist area. Their work will contribute to improving outcomes for children.
CLTA currently have a number of SLEs within our teaching school alliance, who are able to offer bespoke school to school support across a wide range of specialisms. This can range from a one day support to developing CPD programmes to deliver across a range of settings within the local area and beyond.
Examples of deployment packages can be found on our School to School Support page.
