Supporting Working Memory Difficulties: A Speech and Language Perspective

Children who under-achieve can frequently be shown to have working memory problems. The ability to store information briefly and manipulate it in mental processes is supported by working memory. Difficulties in doing this can have an impact on a child’s ability to learn and access the curriculum. The session will focus on developing your practical ideas to support young people to enhance their memory capacity and in turn, their ability to recall and manipulate spoken language instructions.
